Not too shabby for a mall fast food spot. I got lured in with the 2 free samples that they sampled at the cart called the Thai barbecue chicken, and the mango chicken. Their food was pretty decent and the price was reasonable for their portions. Chinese fast food with a little twist of Thai culture in it, will be returning for a quick bite next

Does anybody ever have high expectations when eating at a mall food court...
Recently I was looking for somewhere to eat in the Northridge mall when i happened upon a Ruby Thai employee handing out free samples of their chicken. Well I liked the BBQ Thai chicken but I loved the Basil Chicken, so with the lingering flavor still in my mouth I got in line for the full experience. I liked the variety of starches you could chose from so I went with the Pad-Thai, along with the BBQ chicken and Basil chicken. I wanted to give the BBQ chicken a full test and after a few bites I realized I should have just gone with a full order of the Basil chicken, the BBQ chicken was a bit dry compared to the juicy sample I was given. My Pad-Thai was absolutely horrible, noodles over cooked and completely lacking any flavor at all. The only relief from this disappointing meal was that Basil chicken that was fresh and absolutely delicious.
In closing... This is a food court in the first place and yes Ruby Thai is I guess the Thai version of Panda express. With that being said the Pad-Thai was a 0 out of 10, the BBQ chicken was a 5 and the Basil chicken was a 10, so I guess averaged out my meal was just a mediocre 5 out of 10. Would I consider eating there again? Perhaps, but next time I'm just ordering a large side of Basil chicken, Aloha -

This was the first time trying out this food court restaurant and I should've listened to the other Yelpers and there reviews.
The food had barely any flavor to it and everything was so greasy that it gave me an instant stomach ache. None of the chicken tasted of what it was called and the pad thai noodles were hard and flavorless also.
I know for a fact I will never eat there ever again and this is one spot I will not highly recommended! -

Is this authentic Thai food? Nope. Is it halfway decent mall food? Yep.
I see that this place has a very low rating. This was my first time trying it and I thought it was pretty good. Sort of a Chinese take on Thai food. It has much better Chinese food than the actual Chinese food in the food court. The BBQ Thai chicken was great, but the pad Thai was meh. This is far less spicy food than you would normally get at a Thai restaurant.
I would buy it again. -

Quick review: Thai in name only. Let's just say it's Chinese food in disguise.
Thai? Where? Let's not pretend as human beings to be so gullible, then maybe these companies won't treat us like blind mice!
What we have here ladies and stupidmen is Chinese style buffet, the kind you find on every street corner, striking a pose as Thai food. It's so exotic isn't it? Thai food....ohhhh ahhh I cant imagine! it's not just regular Chinese food, it's mystical magical Thaaaaaaiiiii food!! Oooooohhhh something new, something exciting! Oh em gee I want it so badly :/
If you can possibly look beyond the April fool's level marketing, and false advertising, the food is actually pretty tasty.
The 2 item combo plate I ordered had Thai bbq chicken and Thai Basil beef. The chicken tasted nothing like you find at Thai restaurants, its teriyaki chicken fam. The Thai Basil beef had not a single leaf of basil in it. Trust me, I scanned the entire tray like a bald eagle scouting it's prey. (You're asking me) 'Then why did I order it?' I wanted a beef dish and the only other option was beef broccoli which if you didn't know is a super authentic Thai dish :/ The flavors where ok. Spicy sauce mixed with peppers and onions. I also got half veg half rice. Both of which where done proper.
Overall everything was edible, nothing horrific to report unfortunately. Just your typical middle of the road Chinese I MEAN Thai buffet. It's a solid 3 star establishment with a star deducted for straight lying to my bitch ass and turning me salty as hell.
